It’s that time again! I finally got home and enjoyed some dinner after a 6.5 hour floor set for the Summer 2011 Semi Annual Sale at Bath & Body Works. There are so many groovy things on sale, so I just had to write out a guide to let you know just what things you might expect to see at this sale. The post is long, but everything is nice and organized so you can skip to whatever you are most interested in knowing. Hopefully you’ll find what you’re looking for here!

For your convenience, this post will be stickied to the top of the blog until sale end – regular posts continue below this one. Also, this post will be updated as the deals change, so keep it bookmarked!! Updates will be reflected in searing pink text of ultra girlishness. (Updated 6/22!)

50% off Signature Collection

The brand new Signature Coconuts are 50% off! (as of 6/21)

EDT in Black Raspberry Vanilla, Bubble Bath in Black Amethyst, and Triple Moisture Shower Creams in Sensual Amber and Midnight Pomegranate are 50% off.

The “Island Escapes” collection, which launched at the start of the year, are making their way out the door at 50% off: Bali Mango, Hawaii Coconut, and Fiji Passionfruit.

75% off Signature Collection

PS, I Love You and Butterfly Flower are being discontinued, therefore, are 75% off (6/23). White Citrus will also be 75% off, due to a future repackage – it’s not going away forever, so don’t panic! On that note, Coconut Lime Verbena is being dropped, reformulated “with a modern twist”, and will be re-launched in late July, thus all the “old” CLV will also be 75% off.

All top Signature Collection fragrances in “Dressed Up” packaging will be 75% off as of 06/23: Japanese Cherry Blossom, Twilight Woods, Sweet Pea, Moonlight Path, and White Citrus.

Signature Vanillas are now 75% Off, as of 6/16! This includes Berry, Cherry, Coconut, Apricot, and Lemon. I think Vanilla Coconut is the best coconut fragrance BBW has released to date, so I highly recommend grabbing a Triple Moisture Body Cream for just three bucks!

Taking a huge leap to 75% off are Orange Sapphire, Cucumber Melon and Dancing Waters. These won’t last very long at this price, so if any of these are your personal signature fragrance, make a point to visit within the first three or four days of the sale.

Scent Stackers are 75% off, meaning you can score the entire three-piece set for just $5.25 per fragrance. Fragrances included in this collection are Japanese Cherry Blossom, Twilight Woods, Sweet Pea, Moonlight Path, White Citrus, and Country Chic. These are GREAT for travel and people who have limited storage space (dorms, much?)

2oz Trial Sizes in recent fragrances such as Carried Away, Country Chic, Summer Coconuts and the Island Escapes collection are 75% off ($0.87 apiece).

Any past fragrances which were discontinued will enter the sale at 75% off, including Deep Aqua, Mango Mandarin, Enchanted Orchid, Vanilla Noir, Velvet Tuberose and Lemon Vanilla. Availability of these fragrances will vary from store to store, as well as product types. I did see quite a few EDTs in ours, though, which makes for an incredible deal.

Signature Collection – Other Deals

Men’s Collection Body Wash will be $6 a bottle, from June 10th through Father’s Day. This includes the FiFi Award Winning Twilight Woods for Men. Also, for any ladies who like wearing masculine scents, check out Noir. Sale Ended!

3oz Travel Sizes have been repackaged recently, to be more colorful and distinctive. Thus, all old packaging is being thrown into the sale at $2 per item (new info).

Classics and Signature Haircare

One of the best parts of Semi-Annual Sale is the rolling out of the “Classics” collection, which is usually online only. The following body lotions, fragrance mists, and shower gels will be featured: Brown Sugar & Fig, Cotton Blossom, Country Apple, Exotic Coconut, Night Blooming Jasmine, Pearberry and Plumeria.

Select stores will also have Pink Grapefruit, Sun-Ripened Raspberry and White Tea & Ginger.

Coco Cabana, Creamy Coconut and Rice Flower and Shea were quite unexpectedly shipped to our store! Call yours to see if they got it, too! (6/22)

Cool Citrus Basil will be making an appearance at 75% off.

Signature Shampoo & Conditioners were not shipped to our store, so I would imagine they were not shipped at all. I would suggest calling ahead to your local store to check if they have any in stock. If they do, it will be 75% off.

TAKE NOTE: As of this moment, it has been decided that this will be the last Semi-Annual Sale for which they will ship Classics fragrances to physical stores. So if you’re looking to avoid shipping fees (they will still be available online), stock up now – there are no guarantees that they will ever be available in-store again. I imagine the same goes for Shampoo & Conditioner.

True Blue Spa and Aromatherapy

The True Blue Spa line recently received a rather drastic face lift, which more clearly sorts items by type/color, and highlighted their primary ingredient. This means that all of the old packaging will be in the sale at 50% off! I fully intend to pick up a few bottles of “Look Ma, New Hands”, as the boyf and I both use this constantly. The only thing from TBS that you won’t find in this sale is the Shea Cashmere line.

Aromatherapy is also getting a facelift soon, so the old packaging is getting ousted at 50% off.

Other Collections

Bath and Body Works are no longer carrying Frederic Fekkai haircare products, but chances are good that there was stock left over at your store for the sale. These items will be marked 50%, including my favourite Glossing Cream.

C. O. Bigelow’s Lemon collection is being dropped, which is a crying shame, because it is the best, truest lemon fragrance I have ever tried. These will be starting out at 50% off at the sale. As it turns out, this is still ringing full price.

Liplicious Lip Gloss
All seasonal flavours are headed out, as well as some of the “core” flavours which are due for new package design. Sale price on these glosses are $2 each. Yes, you read that correctly. There is no real way of knowing which flavours your store will have, so if you love the gloss, just plan on coming in and having fun with blue-box spelunking.

Don’t Forget!

Every store is different, so there is no telling what other items might be floating in the back room of your home store. A general rule of thumb is to call ahead to see if your store has an item – if they do, you can ask them to hold it for you until you can make it to the store (please try to arrive before closing time on the same day)

Dropping a 50% off soap in the 75% off bins confusing to some, extremely disappointing to others, and positively rage-inducing for other people. Please play nice to your fellow shoppers (and associates – save us from the ragers!) by putting things back in their appropriate places if you decide against buying any given item. We greatly appreciate it!

What’s New?

Finally, while all of this “SAAAALE!!!” is going down, Bath and Body Works will also be previewing the new Summer Citrus collection, which launches on July 4th. During our first Fragrance Event for Country Chic, shoppers were encouraged to try four “mystery fragrances” and vote for their favourite. They were so popular that three, not one, were selected for production. Your winners are Peach Citrus, Pomegranate Citrus, and Apple Blossom Citrus. Be sure to check them out, and pick up a few while you’re at it! Personally, I’m in love with the Pomegranate Citrus. So, so good.
