Mani Monday: Deep Blue Something
There are times when nail polish sucks. I mean, it’s fantastic, but there are those perfect combinations that just don’t share well through pictures. This is just one of those occasions. So I’m going to have to do an odd thing, and purposefully show a blurry as sin picture just to prove a point. Watch out, y’all.
What happened was I went into CVS looking for a dark blue to use in my Ravenclaw mani, and I accidentally stumbled on another beauty that I just couldn’t pass up: Confetti “Ice Ice Baby”. As I was doing my Ravenclaw mani last week, I was also doing something new with my tootsies, layering Ice Ice Baby over Wet n Wild Wild Shine in Blue Moon. This is what happened:
So I promised myself forthwith that I would do this same exact thing on the topside for my next mani. Here are the results in daylight (to show off the sparkle), and in blurry-mode (to show off the green sheen).
I laid down two coats of Blue Moon before applying three coats of Ice Ice Baby. Two coats of the glitter would’ve been just fine, but I’m insane and have impulse control issues.
Wet n Wild Wild Shine polishes are available for $0.99USD per 0.43oz serving, and Confetti polishes slide in at a neat $1.99 per 0.37oz bottle. Pretty nice price for the groovy effect it provides! Have you tried any Confetti polishes? What are your favourite top coat embellishments?
