• Shop ALL the Rite Aids!

I don’t really brag about my hauls on here unless I know I got a slammin’ deal. Today is just going to be one of those days. Bear with me, folks!

First off, Rite Aid is having a sale on all Revlon eye cosmetics, including the new Revlon ColorStay 16 Hour Eye Shadow quad, which regularly retails at $7.49. Less 40% off comes to $4.49. Smack a $2 off Video Value coupon on top of it, and you’re talking about a fresh-on-the-market eyeshadow quad for two-fifty.

Next, I move to N.Y.C., which while it isn’t on sale, is part of a special deal where any single piece $1.99 or over earns you $1 back in +UP Rewards, which is essentially a coupon good towards your next purchase. I bought four of these, rolling my coupons on to other purchases.

They’re also running a sale on all Wet n’ Wild cosmetics – 40% off. Now, I needed some new eye makeup remover after I dropped my last bottle in the loo and was terrified of it even after I immediately threw it away. Nothing haunts your dreams more than eye things that have been in the toilet. So yes, check, we pick up some new eye makeup remover, for a sweet $1.19. Then we amble over to the Megashield Lip Color SPF15, which generally retails for $2.99 per piece. This is also included in the 40% off sale, plus each piece has a $1 off coupon on it, bringing the price down to just $0.79 per lipstick. I used three of my four +UP coupons on these, which means I only paid $0.04 for each lipstick before tax.

We round out our trip with a Physician’s Formula blush, already clearanced at 75% off of the original $11.95 price tag, and used my final +UP coupon, bringing it down to just $1.98. Score.

Grand total for this drugstore spree, tax included, came up to $15.21, for a total savings of $26.51. I did wind up going to three different stores – the first one did not have the Wet n Wild Megashield lipsticks, and I simply wanted to see if the last store would have anything the first two didn’t (which is where I found the blush). I consider the store-jumping to be pretty well worth it, though. Especially considering none of the locations were too far out of my way.

These sales are still good tonight and tomorrow, so if you’re jonesin’ for some new eyeshadow, or want to stock up on some new lipsticks, you know where to go!

  • Urban Decay Friends & Family Haul

And the award for fastest shipping goes to Urban Decay. The Friends & Family Sale at Urban Decay just started November 1st, and I made my order very, very late in the day. It was shipped the very next day, and arrived today, on November 4th. I’m really quite stunned.

Anywho, here’s what I picked up at 20% off:

Yes, even sale items included in the 20% off sale, so I used those to bring my order up to an even $50, as to qualify for free shipping. Not too shabby, if you ask me.

The Friends and Family sale is STILL ON, right now! Use code FFHOLIDAY11 to receive 20% off of your order until 11:59PM 11/05/11. If you haven’t already snagged the Anniversary palette, now would be a great time!

  • Still Alive and Mini Haul!

Hey guys, I’m still alive! Just popping in to let you all know that Too Faced Shadow Insurance is $9 at your local Ulta. It’s all sold out online, so if you don’t have a store nearby… I cry for you.

I did manage to swing by one of my Ulta stores, and also used my reward coupon for some goodies.

I managed to mack China Glaze “Emerald Fitzgerald” for just $3, the TFSI for $9, the Essence Gel Eyeliner Brush for $1.50, and a free pack of Olay face cloths. So… yes, over half off for all that. Not too shabby!

  • Clearance Crawl: Hot Topic & Target

e.l.f. fans might like to know that I spotted the spring gift sets on clearance at both of my Targets today. Things I spotted were mineral eyeshadow sets with brush, “Beauty Books” in Brights and Smoky, essentials eyeliner collection, “Little Black Beauty Books” in both Warm and Cool, and essentials eyeshadow duo sets.  These sets were already a steal at $5 per set, but they’re even better now at $3.48 per set.  I was very tempted to pick up the little black books, but I managed to convince myself to put it back because the lip selection would just be entirely wasted.  I did pick up a mineral set in Sea Blue, because I’ve never tried e.l.f.’s mineral line, and I’m really curious about the brushes.

I also found a wee little travel pot of Yes to Carrots body butter.  I want to like them. I do. So here we go again, trying again!

While we were in the area, we popped into Hot Topic to see if they had any good clearances.  They were actually having double clearance today! (I didn’t get the email until AFTER I got back home. Thanks for the promptness, guys).  He picked up a new pair of trousers and a pretty slick Combichrist shirt, and I snagged three new polishes. We have a clear base with silver holographic glitter and stars, a glittery polish that changes from purple to pink in sunlight, and another colour-changer that goes from primary blue to a bit of an aqua blue.  Those, and a pair of earrings I picked up to replace my lost tunnels (*cry*) rolled in at less than seven bucks. Not shabby.

How about y’all?  Land any sweet deals this week?  Are you gonna dash by your Target to see e.l.f. is clearanced?

  • Makeup Madness!

To celebrate the long-awaited arrival of my financial aid residual check, I went a little makeup crazy. I’m still waiting on a blush that I swapped on MUA (international swap – it might just take a bit), but everything else I’ve ordered/swapped has arrived! I’m going to have way too much fun playing with this stuff over the next few days. Luckily I already depotted all of my other MAC eyeshadows, so the “work” part of it all is already out of the way (I’ll depot the new one as soon as I can find my replacement pans).  I won’t bore you with the details of reviews, since this isn’t a beauty blog… with the exception of the Sugarpill palette. Even though they’ve definitely been the talk of the makeup community since before they officially opened shop, I think that as a young company, they still deserve some rave reviews and new customers. So I’ll probably post my impressions after I’ve played with them for a while.

Anywho! Here’s a snapshot of my little haul:

    Oh my stars and sparkles!

    What it is:
Sugarpill Burning Heart Quad featuring “Flamepoint”, “Buttercupcake”, “Love+”, and “Poison Plum”.

Urban Decay Summer of Love Palette featuring “Flash”, “Maui Wowie”, “Chopper” & “Smog” eyeshadows, “Bourbon” 24/7 eyeliner, and Primer Potion in “Sin”. (looks like they’re sold out on the site now… but you can still find it on ebay for cheap!)

MAC “Plum Dandy” Lipstick (B2M freebie!), “Shroom” eyeshadow, “Underage” Lipglass (mini – swapped), “Wonderstruck” Lustreglass (mini – swapped), and MAC 15-slot Pro Palette.

Whew! God knows I should be done, but I made the mistake of dropping into Sephora after I visited the MAC counter today, and I really think I need tokidoki ciao ciao. Oh man. What have I done?
